Volunteer Opportunities

 

Volunteers support our Sherman Stars to Shine! To serve as a volunteer you do not need any previous experience in the building. Please contact your student's teacher if you are interested in volunteering in the classroom, in the building, or on a field trip.

Here at Sherman and in the Eau Claire School District we require our volunteers to: 

      ● Complete an Eau Claire Area School District Volunteer Agreement Form
      ● Complete a Background Check

Once you fill out and sign the District Volunteer Agreement, you will receive an email that will prompt you to request a background check.  Once your background check is cleared, you are approved to be a volunteer.  Background checks are good for 3 years and the Volunteer Agreement needs to be signed each school year.  

Throughout the year we host a variety of events in which we are looking for volunteers to serve in a variety of roles:

Picture Day

Vision and Hearing Screenings 

Spooktacular Festival

Scholastic Book Fairs

Chaperoning a Field Trip 

Teacher and Staff Appreciation Meals

Teacher Appreciation Week 

End of Year Celebrations

Classroom Helpers

Media Center Helpers
